As part of their project on water and measurement, MGIS Jaipur students visited Jal Mahal, the iconic palace set in the middle of Man Sagar Lake. During the visit, children explored the palace’s architecture, noticing features like domes, arches, and symmetry. They also learned how traditional buildings were designed with water storage and climate in mind. Connecting their classroom learning to the real world, students discussed how the palace reflects ancient water management techniques. They also measured parts of the structure and observed construction materials—linking math, science, history, and design in a hands-on way.

This visit brought their rain gauge project to life and sparked deeper curiosity about how people in the past lived sustainably with water.
